AI Matching Summary
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Job Details now includes an AI-powered summary inside the status issues banner. With one click on Generate summary, you get a plain-language explanation of what is blocking a job and the specific next steps to resolve it.
Overview
When a job has a matching status issue, the banner at the top of Job Details describes that status as it always has. The Matching Summary adds an on-demand layer inside the same banner: an AI-generated readout that names the documents, line items, and amounts involved, then recommends the actions that will clear the issue.
Summaries are generated only when you ask for one, so nothing changes on jobs you never open.

Generating a summary
From any job with a status issue:
Open the job in Job Details.
Select Generate summary in the status issues banner.
The summary opens inline within the banner, stamped with the date and time it was generated.
Once generated, the summary stays on the job and is shared with your team. Anyone who opens the job afterward sees the same summary and the same timestamp, without generating it again.
What the summary includes
Cause — What is blocking the job, in plain language rather than status codes.
Recommended actions — The steps to resolve the issue, citing the real documents, line items, and amounts involved.
Ask OE → — A link that opens the Job Agent already loaded with the job's matching context.
Regenerating a summary
A summary reflects the job's state at the moment it was generated. When the underlying data or the status issue changes, select Regenerate summary to produce a current readout.
Regenerate remains available at all times, and each regeneration is attributed to the user who triggered it. Because summaries are shared, a regeneration replaces the summary everyone on the job sees.
Some changes clear the summary for you. When a job is rematched or its status changes, the existing summary is retired and the banner returns to Generate summary, so you are never reading a readout that describes an earlier state.
Asking follow-up questions
Selecting Ask OE → opens the Job Agent with the job's matching context already loaded, so you do not have to re-explain the job. Use it to ask why a specific line failed to match, to compare against related documents, or to work through the recommended actions step by step.
Accuracy
Matching Summaries are AI-generated. They cite real documents and amounts from the job, but you should verify the details before acting on them.
Access
Matching Summaries are available to users with permission to use Ask OE agents. If you do not see Generate summary in the status issues banner, contact your workspace admin.
Token usage
Generating and regenerating a summary uses tokens, the same as asking an Ask OE agent a question. Reading a summary that already exists does not, so once someone on your team has generated one, everyone else reads it at no cost.
If your workspace has run out of tokens, you can still read summaries on jobs that already have one, but Generate summary and Regenerate summary are unavailable until more tokens are added.
